In NYC, we have a growing, dynamic team of 50 people with a focus on pushing brave, innovative work for some of the biggest companies on the planet.

 

ROLE

The Head of Talent at 1000heads is ultimately responsible for the attraction and retention of all agency talent. The goal is to help the agency build and maintain a workplace that attracts and retains top-tier talent in a manner that aligns with the guiding principles of the agency. At 1000heads, we strive to build diverse teams that reflect the world we live in and the brands we represent.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Vision and Strategy: Work with the leadership team to collaboratively set and execute on the long-term vision for key initiatives.

  • Recruitment: Develop a global recruitment strategy and oversee a recruiting team that is consistent with the company management strategy and culture.

  • Values & Culture: Help promote our company values throughout our office and ensure that all decisions, programs, and processes are aligned with our core beliefs.

  • Diversity & Inclusion: Lead and drive initiatives that will cultivate a more diverse organization to allow us to more effectively achieve our business objectives.

  • Professional Development: Build scalable professional development programs that aid in growing our team’s capabilities and drive employee retention.

  • Compliance: Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management

 

REQUIREMENT

  • Proven experience as head of HR or other senior HR role

  • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment etc.)

  • Well-organized with excellent leadership qualities

  • Proven track record of strong leadership skills, high sense of urgency and proactive decision making capabilities

  • Proven ability to navigate new spaces in talent management

  • Strategic thinker, superior communicator and confident decision-maker

  • Strong appreciation and focus on culture

  • Familiarity with social media and other professional networks

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and team management skills

  • Strong decision-making skills using data

  • Go-getter attitude - willing to be a team player and deal with ambiguity

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agency environment
